Granny Rose Cushion

How lovely is this pretty little granny square?
It's designed by the talented and lovely Astri over at Apple Blosson Dreams

For a 12" cushion insert I made nine granny rose squares with a row of trebles around the edge after joining them. I din't count how many chains I used on the back, I just kept going until it looked like it was roughly the width of the front piece. Simple rows of treble clusters with double crochet for the button band.

The yarn is 'Cotton On' from James C Brett which is a 50% cotton blend.
It's a great yarn for this type of motif as it gives great stitch definition.
