A new bag for summer

Hello! Just checking in.

I made a new Phoebe Bag in red polka dots, nice and bright for summer so my long loved green one has gone into retirement for a little while.

And have a new cushion in my shop. I love love this one, it was the first one that I made but I needed to tweak the binding a little so it wasn't finished before, and now it is :D

I will never get tired of that gorgeous teal!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer

Some more paper piecing

I don't know where the line between interest and obsession is but I'm in some murky territory. I'm on to diamonds this week and back to something that isn't pastel and flowery. It feels good, horribly fickle, but good.

The fabric is from 'Curious Nature' by Parson Gray. I really like the whole collection, the prints and tones compliment each other rather than being too matchy-matchy - and it's fantastic for more manly projects.

I've been toting my little diamonds around in this cute basket.
I plan to paint it and put in a lining, but its doing the job as it is for now :)

I hope you're having a lovely week,

A little prettiness

Just sharing a sweet little project for using odd shaped scrap fabric, small pieces of ribbon, and off cuts of batting. Chose your colours and keep adding scraps and shuffling them round until you have enough for a cushion cover, mine is 14".

Its a nice sampler project to try out some different quilting techniques too, or small enough to hand quilt (- next time!).

Life in Miniature

There are lots of little things going on here this week. Lots!
We have six new baby G-Pigs - Cuteness overload. They don't move very fast yet but they're hard to photograph.

And some teeny tiny sewing, I think these are 1" hexies (I used this template). I don't know what to do with this but I love it and just fancied a brief break from pastels.
